Two Yellow Marigolds
I cut
such big blooms
that bend stems,
take them inside
for a bouquet
that I put in
a cranberry-red vase
by the kitchen sill,
two
suns
rising at dawn
by a pair
of rubber gloves.

ReplyDeleteAs a UK resident, I need to ask if the Marigolds are, in fact, the yellow rubber gloves (universally known as such in the UK) or the flowers?
